OPERATION PHOENIX D-DAY - MAY 2010

YOUR MISSION - TO HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!!!

- You must be a Member (or guest) of a Paintball Club to participate in this event.
- You must be 18 years of age to play paintball in Victoria.

FIELD & LOCATION:

Phoenix Paintball - Rawson, Gippsland, Victoria.
From Central Melbourne we are a 2 hour drive.

DATE:

Saturday 1st May - Sunday 2nd May 2010*

TIME:

SATURDAY: Gates open 0700 hrs; games start 0930 hrs, 1800 hrs finish.
SUNDAY: Games start at 1000 hrs and play through till 1800 hrs.

COST:

SATURDAY: $200 (Prepaid with registration)

GEAR:

All paintball markers & equipment must comply with the Victorian Code of Practice & State Law.

MARKER HIRE.

$30 per person (limited available).

$80 PER CASE

Paint

Please respect the fact that it is field paint only for this event. All events take many hours of long painstaking organizing, setting up etc. as you know. We have tried to charge the minimum we can with the experience we are offering. We are also conscious of using paint that we know is not harmful to the paintwork on the tanks & vehicles and respecting those who bring these along.

Registration

All registrations are to be submitted online with full $200 payment (plus any extras where applicable) via Direct Deposit, Credit Card/PayPal, Money Order or Cash to have a place at our D-Day battle. We have already had an overwhelming interest in this day and we have 120 places available. It really is a case of first in best dressed. We will not be holding places. Your place is confirmed when full payment accompanying the online registration form is received.

Teams:

There will be larger teams made up on the day but if you wish to put together a group of 5 then please indicate these members to us on your entry form. We will endeavor to keep your group together where possible within a larger team on the day, but at least you will be with some of your comrades!!

Spectators & Guests:

Guests are welcome to attend & will need to book in prior to the weekend. Entry will be $20 per person and will include food & a mask for the day. Please email Sarah at the d-day email for further information.

Details And General Information For The Day:

We are again having Real Army Tanks and re-enactment guys coming along for this day and other surprises which will be subject to weather conditions and availability of resources.

SATURDAY: All participants need to be geared up and ready to play by 0900 hrs. Morning games will commence at 0930 hrs on the D-Day field after a briefing. We will be breaking for lunch sometime around 1300 hrs and moving into an afternoon session after this. We’ll then have a break for afternoon tea and finish up by 1800 hrs if not before. All finer details will be given to players upon signing in on the day.

SUNDAY: Games will start at 1000 hrs; more details to follow.

Food:

Lunch and afternoon tea are provided on Saturday and lunch on Sunday. Other catering arrangements will be advised closer to the time.

Accomodation:

Various accommodation is available on Friday and Saturday nights; this is within walking distance or a short drive of the field. It’s advisable not to leave bookings until the last minute; you may be disappointed as this is a popular tourist area.

Camping Onsite At Phoenix Paintball:

BYO everything. $25 per person. (Stay 1 or 2 nights for this price). Must Book Before 30Th March 2010 Limited spaces only available. Toilets and showers will be provided.

International Guests

PayPal is a payment option for you and of course we will organize marker hire for you and other things if needed. Please email us with all your requirements.

Other Bits:

Rawson and Erica have small mini-mart/milk bar type shops for anyone wishing to grab something on the way to or from the field. Once onsite, we advise not leaving to go anywhere as this may disrupt the day’s activities. So please come prepared with all gear, batteries, shoes, panadol, etc etc and any food or drink you may want if not buying from the field on the day. Please Note: there are no supermarkets or take away outlets like McDonalds in Rawson!!!

Please advise us of any dietary requirements on your registration form. Mobile phone reception is 100% fine on the Telstra network, all other carriers are hit and miss (mostly miss!!) There is a payphone in the town and for all emergencies find Bushy or Sarah and use their mobile!! Leave our numbers with anyone who may need to contact you while you are here if you have no alternative.

Cancelation - Refund Policy

Anyone seeking to cancel their registration to this event must do so prior to April 1st 2010 via email to Phoenix Paintball. You will be entitled to a refund of $150 and still receive your shirt and any others ordered and paid for.

Any cancellations made after April 1st 2010 will also be entitled to a refund of $150 on the provision your place can be filled. You will still receive your shirt and any others ordered. If your place can’t be filled a refund of $100 will be issued.

No Transfer Policy

We would ask that players do not do a complete swap with someone as this causes administrative headaches. You need to inform us of any changes ASAP. If you turn up on the day to step into someone else’s place without having registered online, you will be asked to pay your registration fee in full on the spot before play begins; and only if there is a place available.

You must be registered to play on Saturday to play on Sunday. You cannot play Sunday only.
